Debbie, who is competing with Giovanni Pernice, was the first dancer on stage on Saturday night. The pair danced a very temptuous cha cha to Cher’s Shoop Shoop Song.
Last week, Giovanni had promised that Debbie would dance something ‘cheeky’ and true to his word, their routine saw his partner perform a mid-air splits, while he was dressed as a open-shirted delivery man, showing off his ripped chest.
Debbie started her routine pretending to be a secretary, before being swept off her feet by Giovanni.
The routine got wild applause from the studio audience, but the judges weren’t as impressed with their dance as in previous weeks, scoring them as a 27.
Shirley Ballas said that her dance was quite balletic, and she wanted to see a more earthly approach.
Bruno Tonioli praised Debbie for being on time and efficient, and being “very, very bendy”.
Craig Revel Horwood said that at times she had been a little bit stiff, comparing her to a Barbie doll and “I would have liked to have seen a little bit more chic in this”.
Darcey Bussell praised Debbie’s focus as “excellent”, but wanting to see Debbie loosen up a bit. “I love what you do,” she added.
Week four judge’s scores
