TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire that took place in Wokingham last week.
Thames Valley Police said that they were called to a home in Pattern Ash Drive by the fire brigade following a fire that took place around 9.10pm on the evening of Thursday, December 28.
Although no one was injured by the fire, the home was severely damaged.
A 55-year-old man and a 57-year-old man, both from Wokingham, were arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and were in police custody as we went to press.
Detective Sergeant Gavin Stiles, of Reading Force CID, said: “Detectives are working to establish the circumstances and I would like to hear from anyone who has any details which could assist the investigation.
“Uniformed officers were on the scene and if anyone has any concerns or information please speak to an officer or call the 24-hour non-emergency number 101.”
