A LITTLE piece of Wokingham’s history is up for sale but prospective buyers will have to be quick.
Bigwood Lodge on Waterloo Road is to be auctioned off by order of Bracknell Forest Council.
The property is currently empty and is described as a “substantial freehold two floor detached house requiring modernisation.”
The house comes with a plot of land just under an acre and close to a network of public transport links including a choice of Bracknell or Wokingham mainline Rail Station.
As well as three bedrooms, there are two reception rooms, kitchen, bathrooms and a utility room.
A spokesperson for the sellers, Barnard Marcus Hammersmith auctions said: “We are used to selling unusual and unique properties and there is a lot of interest in Bigwood Lodge.
“We are expecting to achieve in excess of the guide price of £350,000 at the auction which takes place on Tuesday April 9.”
The auction will be held at the Grand Connaught Rooms, 61-65 Great Queen Street, London.
