AFTER a year off due to Wokingham’s town centre regeneration, the annual wine festival is returning.
The event, which will raise funds for the MS Society, will once again be held in the town hall from noon to 6pm on Sunday, December 16.
A range of stall holders will be offering wines from around the world, sharing hints and tips and offering samples of vintages you may not have tried before.
And each of the independent merchants will be offering bottles to take home, making ideal Christmas presents.
To help, the organisers offer a free wine carrying service, to ensure purchases are taken from the town hall to the car without any fuss.
This will be the 10th year of the annual event which is organised by Windsor Forest Union Club, Association of Small Direct Winemerchants, Wokingham Round Table and the MS Society.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at £6 and only a limited number will be available. Organisers say they should be pre-booked to avoid disappointment. However, they have no credit card facilities for tickets, payment should be made by cheque or cash only.
And the wine cannot be tasted or sold to anyone under the age of 18.
For more details, or to book tickets call Rosemary Tocock from the MS Society on 0118 986 2591.
