An early decision has been made to call off all Hellenic League and Thames Valley League football matches on Saturday.
The snow and freezing conditions have swept the country, including Berkshire, and all fixtures have fallen foul of the weather.
That includes Binfield’s Hellenic Premier Division trip to Longlevens and Woodley United’s planned clash away at Didcot Town Development in Division One East.
In the Thames Valley leagues, Woodley United Royals were due to host Berks County while AFC Corinthians were scheduled to face Wargrave in a derby day contest.

Binfield Ladies’ game against Stanford-in-the-Vale in the Thames Valley Women’s League has also been postponed.
There is no official confirmation regarding the planned Reading Senior Cup clash between Burghfield and Wokingham and Emmbrook, but given all league fixtures are off, it is unlikely that fixture will go ahead either. Likewise, there is currently no word on Eversley and California’s game against Bagshot.
The decision to postpone matches appears to have gone down well with clubs, who have praised the early call to avoid any wasted or potentially hazardous trips to get pitches ready.
One game that will go ahead is Reading’s clash against Aston Villa at Madejski Stadium, with the club confirming there is “no reason for tomorrow’s game to be in doubt as things stand”.
