Asda Lower Earley is one of 294 fuel stations to see a national price reduction – 3p will be chopped from the price of a litre of petrol or diesel.
The prices will be effective from Tuesday, November 15, and mean that a litre of unleaded will be 110.7p, and a litre of diesel will be 112.7p.
The company said that motorists will benefit from cheaper fuel prices following wholesale prices falling over the past month.
They add that the fuel cut will be welcomed by the millions of drivers who have seen fuel prices rise since Brexit due to the sharp fall in the pound. Asda said that over the past year fuel prices have increased by 1.4%, the first time in more than three years that the data has shown an increase.
News will be welcomed says Asda’s petrol boss
Asda’s senior director for Petrol Andy Peake said: “Today’s latest move shows that Asda is once again leading the way in reducing the price at the pumps to help the millions of motorists across the UK. Our new national price cap of 110.7ppl on unleaded and 112.7ppl on diesel will be welcomed by the millions of drivers who have seen fuel prices rise since Brexit.”
