A WOKINGHAM group that teaches the world to sing in perfect harmony is celebrating after scooping not one but two honours.
The BilinguaSing classes for babies, pre-schoolers and primary school children are run by franchisee Kate Sleeman across Wokingham borough. And parents love what she does: it has been awarded the Most Loved Music, Dance or Performing Arts activity (10 to 29 leaders).
They were also runners-up in the Most Loved Academic or Creative Activity award.
More than 80,000 people took part in this year’s What’s On 4 Kids awards and the prizes were presented in London last month.
A delighted Ms Sleeman said: “I’m incredibly proud that BilinguaSing has been recognised with two prestigious awards, and I’d like to thank all of the lovely families who took the time to nominate and vote for us.
“It’s a real gift to give a second language to our little ones, and at BilinguaSing, we’re passionate about children being introduced to a second language from birth, or as early as possible. We also know that music, movement and sensory experiences are fundamental to children’s development, which is what makes our language classes so unique.”
Sue Lee, managing director for Morton Michel, which supports the awards, said: “We know just how dedicated, passionate and hardworking the people who make children’s activities possible are and we are honoured to support these awards that shine a light on the very best.
“Congratulations from all of us at Morton Michel.”
