BARKHAM residents are being given a helping hand with their Christmas post this year.
The Barkham Post Office will have an extra pop-up Post Office counter for the festive period.
It was introduced on Tuesday, with the aim of serving customers quicker.
The branch already offers more than 43 hours of Post Office service from Monday to Saturday.
Jason Collins, network provision manager, said he is delighted to open the pop-up counter.
“Christmas is always a busy time of year for Post Offices and with the ongoing pandemic even more people are sending parcels and cards to family and friends,” he said. “There has been a big growth in online shopping and returns and an increase in local businesses sending out their goods via our branch. The extra counter at Barkham Post Office will help to meet the seasonal demand.”
The branch at 50 Bearwood Road, Barkham, is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and 9.30am to 1pm on Saturdays.
