SPOOKY events for all the family are available across the borough as Hallowe’en draws in.
Rangers from Dinton Pastures Country Park will be hosting a Hallowe’en Night Adventure, with a guided bat walk around Sandford Lake, followed by hot chocolate and toasting marshmallows. Suitable for all the family, the spooky adventures will take place across half-term, with tickets available for Saturday, October 26, Sunday, October 27 and Thursday, October 31.
All Hallows’ Eve will also see creepy crawlies coming to Wokingham Library, with Dinton Pastures Rangers hosting an Outdoor Let’s Explore event where children can learn all about bats and other creatures of the night.
The session will conclude with a fearsome reading of Cathy MacLennan’s; Spooky, Spooky, Spooky!
Crafty little monsters can try their hand at the library’s Get Arty event, with a range of frightful arts and crafts activities taking place on Friday, November 1.
“There is a whole host of Halloween fun to be had across the Wokingham Borough this half-term. We’re inviting families to stop in for a spell of spooktacular fun at both Dinton Pastures and our Wokingham Borough Libraries,” said, Cllr Parry Batth, executive member for environment and leisure.
“We’re certain our events will not only provide great entertainment for your kids but also prove educational too. We look forward to extending our ghostly greetings.”
