Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure – a film involving a time travelling phone box – will be screened in a Wokingham town centre park tomorrow night, writes Kabir Dave.
The cult comedy has been announced as the first of a trilogy of films being shown for this year’s Wokingham Open Air Cinema event.
Taking place in Howard Palmer Gardens from 8.30pm on Friday, August 18, the Keanu Reeves movie will be followed by Wall-E on Saturday and The Princess Diaries on Sunday.
Entry is free, but donations towards running costs are welcomed.
Families are invited to bring picnic blankets and food, but there will also be food available, notably the Wokingham Girl Guide Rangers will be selling popcorn.
Organisers ask that film lovers bring plastic glasses for drinks, and that all rubbish is taken home.
Stan Hetherington, the event’s organiser said “We hope that the event will be a fun, free weekend for all and are looking forward to Friday night.
“We also would like to thank our list of sponsors, The Eye People, Zappa’s, Marshall Hardy Estate Agents and T G Art Gallery for making this event happen.”
