Roger Herridge will be looking to boost his poor FA Vase record when Binfield host Frimley Green on Saturday.
Since taking over at the Moles, Herridge has failed to make any significant progress in the Vase including being dumped out at the first hurdle against Fareham Town last year.
But buoyed by progressing into the first qualifying round of the FA Cup last weekend as well as seeing Hellenic Premier outfit Thatcham Town lift the Vase at Wembley last year, Herridge is hoping to turn the tables this weekend.
“I think the first season when I came over I was Tally’s assistant and we had a good run in the Vase before we got beaten by a very good Larkhall Athletic side,” he told The Wokingham Paper.
“My Vase record is absolutely shocking.
“I don’t suppose there can be anyone out there with a worse record than me in the Vase to be honest so we’ll look to put that right.”
Binfield will be favourites for their clash at Hill Farm Lane with Frimley Green competing at a step below in Combined Counties Division One.

At the same time, fellow Combined Counties outfit EVERSLEY AND CALIFORNIA will host Downton at Fox Lane.
The Boars have had a mixed start with six points from their four games and they face another step seven side with Downton currently sitting 10th in the Wessex League Division One.
WOODLEY UNITED also return to action this weekend, travelling to Chertsey Town in the Vase.
The Kestrels have only played twice this season, losing 7-1 to Crawley Green and 6-4 against Abingdon Town.
But Jon Laugharne will be hoping to tighten up his side’s defence for the difficult trip to Chertsey, who compete at a level above Woodley and sit top of Combined Counties Premier Division with five wins from five.
