Police officers investigating the disappearance of a Wokingham man have said that they believe his body has been recovered from the River Thames.
In a statement, Thames Valley Police said that were called to an area by the River Thames near George Street in Reading yesterday morning (Sunday, January 7).
Although they have yet to formally identify the body, officers believe that it is Roy Robins, aged 81, who went missing from Rose Street in Wokingham on Thursday.
The death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.
His next of kin has been informed and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
