THE local candidate for the Brexit Party will be taking part in a meet and greet session in Wokingham’s town centre on Saturday.
It follows a similar event a couple of weeks ago where Peter Wiltshire, who is standing in the European Elections in the South East, was in Woodley’s shopping precinct with supporters.
A spokesperson for the party, led by Nigel Farage, said: “It’s an opportunity for people to meet one of The Brexit Party candidates for the European elections and to come along and understand what the Party stands for – including why our very democratic process is at risk if the Government fail to deliver on a clean Brexit.”
The stall will be in Market Place from 10am to 2pm, and Mr Wiltshire will be present until around noon.
The Brexit Party is also holding a rally in Lakeside at Frimley on Sunday evening.
The event will start at 5pm and tickets cost £2.50.
Organisers say that there is plenty of free parking available.
