AN INTERNATIONAL mobile phone and consumer electronics manufacturer has pledged its support to a Woodley children’s charity.
Reading-based Bullitt group presented representatives from Me2 Club, which is based in Headley Road, with a cheque for £1,000 earlier this month.
The donation came about as Senior Product Director David Corke’s daughter, Scarlett, receives support from the charity.
Me2 Club helps children and young people with additional needs integrate into mainstream activities, through the help of specially-trained volunteers.
The charity’s Fundraising and Development Officer, Liz McDaniel said: “Like all small charities fundraising remains a priority which is why we were so excited to hear that Bullitt Group chose to help us. They learnt about our work from an employee who is also one of our parents. We are now encouraging more of our parents to speak to their employers to increase our levels of corporate support.”
Mr Corke said: “It was a pleasure to be able to nominate Me2 Club for this support after all the help it has given to my daughter over the years. Together with her volunteer ‘buddy’ Scarlett can join in, and enjoy, Guides.”
Bullitt Group’s COO, Lawrence Corbett added: “It was great to find out more about the Charity and well done to the Me2 Club team for the impressive work it carries out.”
