A primary school in Wokingham has been shut today due to a burst water main.
Pupils at Nine Mile Ride Primary School in Finchampstead Road were told to stay away for health and safety reasons, after the leak was discovered.
It is expected to reopen tomorrow.
In a note posted on the school’s website, the headteacher apologised for the short notice of the closure.
Ali Brown said: “School is closed today (Thursday 4th February) due to a burst water main. For health and safety reasons, I have made the decision to close the school.
“Please accept my sincere apologies for such short notice.
“I will keep you informed via the website. We expect to re-open tomorrow 5/2/2016.”
