WITH JUST one game last weekend, it was important that we came away with a win against Streatham.
Earlier in the season they had beaten us, both at home and away. Now that we are in the final stretch of a very competitive league, it was important not to lose ground against our rivals.
We were once again without our captain, Joe Baird, but the team put in a solid performance. The defence was sound and our offensive lines were working well. We can look forward to our cup games this weekend with confidence.
Our youngest fans may wonder why we are looking forward to this weekend so keenly. Some of them might not even have been born the last time, 10 years ago, when the Bees were in the hunt for silverware.
Bracknell is a club which has known success in the past. I think we are going in the right direction now after some difficult years.
Perhaps we can bring back some happy memories for our older fans who were supporting the Bees in their title-winning season in 2007.
We have to beat Peterborough this weekend to get through to the final. Support for the team has grown since the season began. Just think, what an achievement it is to have got this far.
It is a journey we have made together. Bee part of the Buzz on Saturday night.
