A toe-tapper of an evening awaits guests of a Scottish-themed barn dance next month.
Norden Farm Centre for the Arts will host the social event on Friday, July 3 with the help of folk dance expert and caller Brian Jones.
Mr Jones is a showman in the field of barn dance and will guide guests through both traditional routines and his own choreography.
To set the beat, live band Nedron’s Jig will treat dancers to tunes including Atholl Highlanders, Rogue’s March and Dashing White Sergeant.
The folk group- featuring the squeezebox, fiddle, mandola and bass- is a combination of musicians from bands Feast of Fiddles and Phungus.
To join in with the fun and shake off some energy in true Scots style, contact the Norden Farm’s box office.
The Summer Ceilidh Barn Dance will take place on Friday, July 5 from 7.30pm at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts in Maidenhead. Tickets start at £13. For more information or to buy tickets call 01628 788997 or log on to www.nordenfarm.org.
