Controlled explosions carried out after weapons found at Waltham St Lawrence home

TWO controlled explosions were carried out at an address in Waltham St Lawrence yesterday (Tuesday).

Police officers were called to a house in School Road following reports of firearms and explosives being kept there. Officers from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit also attended, and carried out two controlled explosions at 4.10pm and 5.10pm.

The firearms were removed from the property to be examined by experts.

No arrests have been made in relation to the incident, and local residents were made aware of the explosions before they were carried out.
