A MODEL railway exhibition held last month was a huge success.
Crowds flocked to Sindlesham Baptist Church on Saturday, March 30, to visit the Berkshire N Gauge Society’s spring show – and have a chance to see progress on an ambitious new diorama of Wokingham’s railway station as it was in the 1950s and 60s.
There were six layouts with running trains to see and youngsters could also try their hand running a Thomas the Tank Engine-inspired layout.
And visitors could stock up on kit for their own model railways or enjoy a well-earnt cuppa from the tea stall.
N Gauge group member Dave Arnold said: “It was well attended.
“There was lots of interest in our new Wokingham layout. We’re pleased that the Wokingham Society is support the project. Its chairman Peter Must has been working with us for the best part of two years.”
