POLICE are appealing for two men to come forward after a road rage incident in Finchampstead last week.

They say that the pictured people may have vital information that can help with their investigation.

Around 8am on Thursday, January 3, the victim – a 55-year-old – was driving along White Horse Lane towards Nine Mile Ride.

Thames Valley Police said that he was travelling behind a cyclist who began making hand gestures towards him.

The victim, who had a passenger with him, overtook the cyclist and proceeded to drive along the road.

It was then that a second cyclist, who was travelling in the centre of the road towards the car, caused the driver to stop.

Police said that the driver opened his car door, and the first cyclist then attempted to punch him several times to the head.

The driver then got out of his car and an altercation followed.

The victim was not injured during the incident.

Investigating officer, PC Rachel Pithers based at Loddon Valley police station, said: “I am keen to speak to the men in this image, as they may have information which is vital to our investigation.

“As the incident took place during a busy time of day, there may be other commuters who witnessed the altercation.

“Anyone who recognises the men in this picture, or has information about this incident, should contact Thames Valley Police on 101 quoting reference 43190002183. You can also report information online.

“If you do not want to speak to police, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
