PROCEEDS from last month’s Dubs at the Park event in Easthampstead have been donated to one of the show’s chosen charities.
Organisers of the Volkswagen festival, which took place on May 15, visited the Riverside Animal Centre, in Wallington, south west London, on Sunday to present the charity with a cheque for £1,500.
David, Matthew and Louise Higgs, along with their VW beach buggy named Jack the Bug, visited the animal charity to see the work that is done and meet some of the animals.
David said: “We met an Owl named Merlin who loves a tickle, a fox named Tyson who likes to takes things and a squirrel named Jack who had a cold.
“[The centre] is an amazing place that helps so many animals, it costs in excess of £500 a day to run.”
