ANYONE looking for tickets for Monday nights concert at Nettlebed Folk Club will be disappointed: they have sold out.
The gig will see Show of Hands perform and help raise funds to replace the club’s stage lighting with hi-tech LED beams.
But organisers said there are still a limited number of tickets available for the following week’s show, the last of the current season.
Taking place on Monday, July 22, it sees Edgelarks perform. Better known as Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin the award-winning duo are now firmly established on the roots and acoustic scene and are no strangers to the area. Last year, they performed at All Saints Church in Wokingham as part of its summer concert series.
They blend British traditional and original songs with Indian classical slide guitar, stomping beatbox, harmonica and fiddle.
For their appearance, they will perform tracks from their new album Feather, which they say will be an upbeat celebration and an incitement to hope.
Doors open at 7.45pm and the concert starts at 8pm. It takes place on Monday, July 22 at the Nettlebed Village Club, in the village’s High Street.
