A woman was threatened with a weapon similar to a rounders bat during a robbery at Maiden Place Social Club on Sunday, April 19.
At 8.40pm a man walked into the club at Maiden Place Community Centre, carrying a bat.
He demanded the female member of staff to open the safe, and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The woman was not injured during the incident.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for information about the man, who is described as white, around 6 feet 2 inches tall, slim with short blond hair. He spoke with a local accent.
Det Con Aisling Martin, from Reading Force CID, said: “I would like to speak to anyone with any information about the incident or anyone who saw anyone matching the description of the offender in the area at around the time of the incident to speak to police as this may assist with our enquiries.”
