A WOKINGHAM funeral directors is hoping you’ll pop in for tea later this month, and help raise money for charity at the same time.
AB Walker, based on London Road, will be hosting the event in aid of Breast Cancer Care, the only UK-wide specialist breast cancer support charity.
Funeral Administrator Pam Aramo said: “We are looking forward to holding an Afternoon Tea as it’s a fun way to bring together people from the local community while also raising money for Breast Cancer Care.
“We’d love locals to join us for some delicious scones and cakes.”
A.B. Walker are encouraging people to come along and support the charity and would welcome people to drop by on Wednesday, October 17 between 2pm and 3.30pm
Georgie Gibbons, fundraising officer at Breast Cancer Care, added: “We’re so grateful to A B Walker for holding an Afternoon Tea in aid of Breast Cancer Care.
“The money they raise will help Breast Cancer Care continue to provide a unique range of free support including reliable information, one-to-one support over the phone and online from nurses and people who’ve been diagnosed themselves.
“Every year around 62,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK so there’s never been such an urgent need for our support.”
