The hunt is on for Wokingham’s bonniest baby. The Wokingham Paper’s stand at the May Fayre will be a pop-up photographic booth offering parents of under fives the opportunity to have their child’s picture taken.
All photos will be compiled into a special Bonny Baby supplement which we’ll print in our edition of May 11 and readers will be invited to choose their favourite boy and girl aged 18 months and under or aged 19 months to five years.
Entry is free – and participants will receive a free goody bag (while stocks last).
Our stand will be outside the Town Hall in Denmark Street.
We will be inviting parents to make donations to First Days, which shares pre-loved baby goods and clothes with those who would otherwise not be able to afford them.
The contest is sponsored by Crest Nicholson, who are building the Arborfield Green village.
The Wokingham Paper publisher Phil Creighton said: “Everyone loves bonny baby contests – the one that our predecessor, The Wokingham Times, ran was hugely popular with parents and readers alike.
“We can’t wait to host our inaugural contest and look forward to meeting Wokingham’s little cherubs at the May Fayre.”
The May Fayre runs in Wokingham town centre on Monday, May 1 from 10am to 5pm. Entry is free and there are lots of entertainments taking place.
