In last week’s article, I also mentioned an amazing course I will be running in Wokingham In September. The course is called EXPLORING WHAT MATTERS and is all about finding meaning and happiness in your life and is an Action For Happiness Course. Check out some of the facts below and if you want to experience what others have … then please get in contact:
- 93% of participants would recommend the course to others
- 91% say the course has had a positive impact on their life (vs 9% Neutral, <1% Negative)
- Participants experience significant increases in Life Satisfaction (+21%), Mental Wellbeing (+14%), Compassion (+9%) and Social Trust (+17%), based on comparing standardised survey measures taken before and after the course.
Did I mention the cost of the course is a donation?
How about the fact that yours truly Is running it with local Superwoman Clare Rowley?
Do you have two hours free once a week on a Monday?
Could you see yourself getting something from attending a course all about exploring what matters to you?
If you are interested, then please get in contact as the spaces are going to go so quickly and I wouldn’t want you to miss out.
Now on to this week’s article which is all about YOU!
I want to ask you a deep question today and this is all based on a video I made for my social media this last week. The video was a state of mind and life coaching video and one of my daily 60 second Instagram videos.
If you want some serious inspiration, motivation and education every single day of the year then head over to Instagram and start following “thefundamental_coach_chris_hunt”.
Going back to the video, the question I asked was simply WHAT DO YOU WAKE UP FOR?
When that alarm goes off in the morning, what do you feel?
Do you jump out of bed in the morning because you are looking forward to the day ahead?
Does your daily routine fill you with enjoyment or sadness?
WHAT DO YOU WAKE UP FOR?
I want you to ask yourself that question right now? Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and then think about that question, let it sink in and then try and answer it.
Meaning is the amazing idea that your life has a real purpose and is valuable, to both yourself and others. It’s the wonderful feeling that your life is rewarding, that it matters in some way. This shouldn’t be confused with HAPPINESS which is very similar but actually slightly different.
Now, a huge part of the question surrounds your job and career and what your meaning is. Your job is where you spend the majority of your time and energy, so if you can turn it into something that adds meaning and purpose, you get benefits that reach beyond your office. Benefits like being happier, doing better at your job, and improving your life overall.
Now, the bigger part of the question of WHY DO I WAKE UP surrounds your LIFE.
Instead of choosing merely to exist. I urge you to experience life. I urge you to live.
Now before we all get too over excited, I think we need to clarify that we all wake up every now and again and would like nothing more than to stay in bed. In fact, I had a morning like that the other week, it’s the way it goes sometimes.
I think that’s normal but what isn’t normal and what isn’t right is when that happens frequently. I have coached so many clients over the last few years, hundreds in fact.
Some clients require mind and mental based coaching. Some clients need more body-based training such as your typical personal trainer may offer. Then there are the clients who require life coaching however some people require the full works.
One thing that I like to work on with all clients is the subject of meaning and happiness. The question … WHY DO I WAKE UP gets asked in so many ways daily and I really think you should get asking yourself the question too.
When you ask questions, you get answers.
When you start delving for information, what you find can surprise you.
What treasures do you seek?
What answers would you like to find out?
Why do you wake up and what do you wake up for?
So, there we have it, happy Thursday and go out seek answers and go out seek out your meanings for life, your meanings for living and more specifically…what you get up for?
Have a fantastic week… go change your world.
