WOKINGHAM Borough Council’s extraordinary meeting of the planning committee has been cancelled.
The committee were due to discuss planning application O/2014/2179 for up to 1,500 new homes and accompanying infrastructure and facilities at the Hogwood Farm site at the meeting this evening (Wednesday).
However, the normal process for ensuring all those residents who had objected to the application were aware of the committee meeting had not been followed, and therefore the meeting will not go ahead.
In a statement on the council’s website, it said: “We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused, however it is important that those people who commented on an application have the opportunity to come to the relevant Planning Committee meeting and the council must ensure they have the opportunity to do so in this case.”
The application will now be discussed at a meeting of the Planning Committee on Wednesday, October 14.
