You’ll have to be a bit of a twit to miss out on Wokingham Borough Libraries’ latest fun event for families – it’s a special themed session based on one of Roald Dahl’s most revolting families.
The Twits, first published in 1980, has entertained and amused millions of children and is based around a retired monkey training couple who play practical jokes on each other because they hate each other. The pair are trying to form the first upside-down monkey circus when they’re not concocting bird pie or contracting the Terrible Shrinks.
The funny book will be brought to life by storyteller John Kirk on Wednesday, August 31, before inviting children to take part in a fun Twits-related craft session.
The presentation is suitable for children and families aged six and over and takes place at Lower Earley Library on Wednesday August 31 from 10.15am to 11.15am, Finchampstead Library on Wednesday August 31 from 12.45pm to 1.45pm and Wokingham Library on Wednesday August 31 from 2.45pm to 3.45pm.
