The family of a woman who died after a collision with a lorry in Wokingham have paid tribute to a “caring, fun-loving and inquisitive lady” who enjoyed voluntary work and taking part in community groups.
Helen Rowe, who was 69, died from her injuries after the accident last Thursday afternoon.
Thames Valley Police have issued an appeal for witnesses to come forward and now the family has released a statement praising Mrs Rowe for her ability to make anyone feel at ease, saying she will be sorely missed.
It reads:
“Helen was a caring, fun-loving, inquisitive and sociable lady that was tragically taken from us too soon.
“Since returning to the UK from Spain, Helen had established a strong network of friends and acquaintances through her voluntary work and the community groups which she regularly attended.
“Helen was the type of person that would always put the wellbeing of everyone else before her own and would go out of her way to support others in need. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her for her wicked sense of humour and her natural ability to make anyone feel at ease.
“Helen will be sorely missed by her children, grandchildren and husband Les.”
