MIDFIELDER Fara Williams has signed a new deal to extend her stay at Reading until the end of next season.
The 35-year-old has brought a wealth of experience to the Royals side since joining from Arsenal in 2017 and shone once again in the heart of the Reading midfield last season, scoring 18 goals in all competitions in her second campaign at the club.
Williams was awarded with the managers Player of The Season award for her part in Reading’s campaign which saw them finish fifth in the Women’s Super League and reach the FA Cup semi-final.
Despite not being included in Phil Neville’s 23-player squad for the women’s World Cup in France this summer, Williams remains as England’s most capped player of all time with 168 international appearances and with 40 goals to her name.
