FESTIVE concert goers proved to be full of Christmas cheer, helping to boost the coffers of two local charities.
And earlier this month, members of Wokingham Choral Society presented representatives with money raised from a retiring collection at its December concert.
Wokingham Town Mayor, Cllr Julian McGhee-Sumner and Marjie Walker from The Link Visiting Scheme, and Angela Smith from the Wokingham Day Hospice were welcomed to a rehearsal at The Emmbrook School to receive the cheques.
Now, the choir is busy preparing for its spring concert, which will take place at the Great Hall in the University of Reading on Saturday, March 23 from 7.30pm.
The programme will include Dvorak’s Stabat Mater.
