A HARE HATCH plant nursery will be celebrating the start of the festive season this weekend by staging a food festival.
Sheeplands will be welcoming visitors to the two-day event which will include cooking masterclasses, wine and gin tasting, and the chance to buy all manner of festive fayre.
In addition, there are opportunities to buy Christmas trees and a range of plants that will make for exciting and unusual Christmas presents.
Speakers include award-winning Brendon Ballantyne, who is a firm favourite at the plant nursery.
Woods Wines and Griffith Brothers will offer samples of wine and gin, and producers of sauces, mustards, chutneys and fruit juices will also be on hand.
To add to the festive fun, there will be performances by Twyford-based a capella groups. At 1pm on Saturday AVENUE will perform while on Sunday, at 2pm, Cantata Conviva will sing.
Entry to the two-day festival is free. It is open between 10am and 4pm on Saturday and between 11am and 4pm on Sunday.
