FIREFIGHTERS from three stations across the borough raced to a house in Finchampstead on Sunday night after receiving reports of a tumble dryer fire.
Pumps at Wokingham, Wokingham Road and Crowthorne all made their way to an address in Thomas Lane after the alarm was raised at approximately 7.18pm.
The fire, however, had been put out on arrival, meaning some of the crews stood down and returned to their respective stations.
Of those who stayed, two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a Positive Pressure Ventilation Unit to clear the property of any smoke.
They remained at the scene for just under half an hour.
