LATE-night shopping will be on offer in Wokingham next week as local businesses work together ahead of Christmas.
The event will run on Thursday, December 5 with shops in Peach Place staying open until 8pm.
Working with the Wokingham Business Association, retailers will be encouraging shoppers to get some Christmas presents sorted and enjoy some fun at the same time.
To help make the evening go with a swing, a live performance will take place in Beyond The Download.
The Rose Street record shop is to welcome The Crooked 45 for a special single release show.
The Reading-based rock trio comprises former members of Attention Thieves, Alex Green and James Harris plus singer/songwriter Sam C Harris. The Crooked 45 have recently been featured on BBC Radio, Total Rock & were featured as artists of the week for Louder.
For their set, they will be giving a sneak preview of their latest sounds.
The event takes place from 7.30pm on Thursday, December 5. Places are limited to just 80 people and it is first come, first served.
Organisers of the Christmas shopping event are excited and hope that residents come and enjoy the evening.
A spokesperson for Savills said: “This is the first late-night opening in Wokingham and runs until 8pm. It is supported by WBC and managed by Savills.”
And members of the new Business Association said: “Wokingham Business Association: Old and New. Still one Town.
