FATHER Christmas is preparing to ditch his sleigh and reindeer – well, for one day only – as he makes his first appearance at a Wokingham garden centre.
The jolly man in a red suit will be enjoying a special pre-Christmas stint at Squire’s Garden Centre in Heathlands Road.
And to ensure everyone knows he’s in residence, he’s making a bit of a song and dance for his entrance.
Santa Claus is coming to town on a tractor and trailer, at 10am on Sunday, November 24.
Children of all ages can have their photo taken with him for free before he settles down in his grotto.
Youngsters will be able to bring their wish lists and receive an early Christmas present when they visit him before Christmas Eve. Tickets cost £6, with £1 per visit being donated to COATS Crowthorne. There’s no need to book, simply turn up on the day.
The charity provides companionship, healthy lunches, teas, stimulating activities, entertainment and services for older people in the local community in addition to providing respite for their carers.
Its centre is undergoing a refurbishment and is currently working from Napoleon’s Retreat at Wellington College, Crowthorne.
