A SUMMER festival has been given a boost of girl power as pop legend and former Spice Girl Melanie C has been added to the bill.
The singer, who enjoyed huge solo success as well as being one fifth of the world’s biggest 90s girlband, will be appearing at Henley Festival on Sunday, July 9.
Melanie will appear alongside girl group All Saints on the festival’s famous Floating Stage, performing hits from her new album Version of Me, as well as plenty of her classic hits.
The singer songwriter joins previously announced headliners Jess Glynne, Pet Shop Boys, Chaka Khan and Goldie, as well as a host of music, comedy and visual artists across the five-day festival.
The event will also see many world-famous jazz musicians, world music stars, up-and-coming folk singers, mind boggling street theatre, world class sculpture and painting as well as Europe’s largest pop up restaurant serving 850 covers a night, lashings of champagne and spectacular firework displays.
Henley is one of the most unique festivals in the summer calendar – a cross between Glyndebourne and Latitude, where festival goers wear black tie and watch award winning musicians from boats moored along the riverside, with a festival site that is transformed by incredible light and art installations for a truly magical evening.
Tickets start from £45. For the full line-up and more details on how to book visit www.henley-festival.co.uk.
