THE latest piece of Wokingham’s regeneration jigsaw will open this Friday, with a bit of help from Wokingham’s borough mayor.
The Premier Inn hotel on the corner of Denmark Street and Wellington Road includes a restaurant serving meals throughout the day.
Its menu includes gourmet burgers and steak, salads and desserts. The company also offers meal deals from its evening menu.
The bedrooms feature king-size beds and power showers and there is free wi-fi.
Wokingham Borough Mayor, Cllr Bill Soane, will open the hotel on Friday November 15 at 11.30am.
Afterwards, staff will hold an open house until 1pm, giving people a chance to look round the new 95-bed hotel and enjoy celebratory bucks fizz.
Bernie Pich, assistant director of commercial property at Wokingham Borough Council, said that he was delighted with the new tenant.
He added: “We’re very pleased to welcome Premier Inn to Elms Field. They continue to prove themselves as one of the country’s leading hotel chains, regularly winning awards as the travellers choice of hotel, whether for business or leisure.”
And the Premier Inn team were looking forward to the launch event.
Carolyn Floyd, new openings project manager at Premier Inn, said: “We can’t wait to open the doors at our new Wokingham hotel.
“Premier Inn Wokingham will be our very latest hotel offering the excellent standards, great service and brilliant value for money we are known for.
“We’re really looking forward to welcoming guests, becoming part of Wokingham’s business community and adding another excellent new location to our growing network.”
