SOUTH BERKSHIRE LADIES climbed up to fourth in Trysports Premier 2 with a 2-0 win at neighbours Sonning Ladies 2s.
Berks are enjoying a fine season, losing just twice so far, and are now up into the top four ahead of a trip to Oxford this weekend to round off 2017.
Numerous games were postponed across the leagues, but SONNING LADIES 5s were in Division 6 action, losing 4-0 at Slough Ladies 3s.
On the men’s side, two goals from Tom Pullen guided SOUTH BERKSHIRE 3s to a 4-1 win over Oxford 4s in MBBO Division 3.
Duncan Clarke and Richard Wallace were also on target as Berks clinched just a third win of the season.
In the same league, SONNING 3s were well beaten 6-2 at Wallingford 2s despite a Mark Cooke brace.
Lower down the leagues, Nick Salter’s strike came in vain as SONNING 4s lost 4-1 to Wallingford 3s while SONNING 5s were thrashed 5-1 by Reading Rascals.
