FOUR intricate murals were unveiled at nirvana Spa last week.
Painted by internationally-acclaimed artist, Janice Syliva Brock, the murals depict the goddesses of life, with one to represent each season.
At the unveiling were a host of welcomed guests, friends of the artist and previous clients.
Making a speech to her audience, Ms Brock said: “When I was bedbound for over a year and a half, the goddesses were what I dreamt of from the hospital bed.”
“Once I had finished painting them, I wanted to scrape them off the wall and take them home with me.”
The evening was full of positivity, with the artist expressing her gratitude to those who support her, and explaining how her positive attitude carried her through the four-month painting process.
Suffering from Still’s disease – a progressive and debilitating form of rheumatoid arthritis, Ms Brock firmly believes that her life has been blessed with good fortune, back from each challenge she has undertaken.
The four murals can now be viewed in the Colosseum Suite at Nirvana Spa.
