GOLF fans can tee off over a pint at their local.
The annual Brakspear Golf Day on April 26, is the chance for players to take part in a team tournament at the Henley Golf Club in Harpsden.
All golfers have to do is sign up in a Brakspear pub which includes the Dog & Duck in Embrook.
Entry costs £180 per team of up to four players, and includes 18 holes of golf at Henley Golf Club, which is widely regarded as one of the finest courses in the region.
Players will also enjoy a bacon roll on arrival, a sustaining pint of Brakspear’s finest and sausage roll at the halfway hut and, back at the Club House, lunch and more beer before the prize presentations. All players will also receive a selection of golf goodies.
The winning team will receive a trophy to display in their local, while all members of the first four placed teams will also win prizes.
There is also a special prize for anyone who manages a hole in one.
Tom Davies, Brakspear chief executive, said, “The Golf Day was a great success last year and in 2017 and we’re delighted to be bringing it back for a third year.
“The event brings together people with a shared love of Brakspear pubs, beer and golf and is a really enjoyable day.
“It’s also a wonderful opportunity to play at the historic Henley Golf Course; the entry cost to our tournament is less than the standard green fee and also includes lunch, other refreshments and prizes.”
