A LOCAL property company with a Winnersh office has been nominated for a top industry award.
Vail Williams, which has a base in Winnersh Triangle, has been named as a finalist in the In-house Planning Team of the Year category at the Royal Town Planning Institute Awards.
Staff at the Wharfedale Road branch, as well as seven other offices across the south of England, were praised for their commitment to planning excellence across a multi-disciplinary environment.
Their entry was backed by case studies and testimonials from clients.
David Ramsay, Lead Partner (Planning) at Vail Williams LLP, said “We are delighted to be selected as a finalist for the RTPI awards.
“This is testament to the team’s positive contributions to planning across our office network, using their skills to deliver often innovative results for our clients.
“The diverse nature of our work reflects the variety of skills within our planning teams and successes demonstrate a positive contribution to the built environment, across the UK.”
The RTPI awards are the most established and respected awards in the UK planning industry. Running for over 40 years, they celebrate exceptional examples of planning and the contribution planners make to society.
Ian Tant, President of the Royal Town Planning Institute MRTPI said congratulated Vail Williams staff for reaching the final for demonstrating “outstanding contributions to planning, producing a positive effect on our communities, the economy and the environment.”
He added: “They have shown how planners can use their passion and skills to meet needs, deliver high quality design and tackle environmental challenges – they should all be proud of their role as a force for good in society.”
The winners will be announced during a ceremony held at Milton Court Concert Hall in central London on 24 April 2019.
