A WOMAN shopping in a Wokingham supermarket had her bank card stolen by what she thought was a good Samaritan.
Thames Valley Police said that the victim had been shopping at Tesco and, on her return home, a man offered to help carry her shopping into her house.
She later found that her bank card, cash and purse had been stolen.
The man is described as white, in his 40s and wearing glasses. He was sitting in a red car.
The police have not confirmed the area where the incident took place but it occured on Monday, January 29.
Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101.
They are also asked to warn elderly family members and friends in case a copycat incident takes place.
