Sonning 1s extended the gap in second place, just one point from the lead, after they beat Harrow 1s 5-2 away from home.
Steve Crowther and Nick Leach both bagged braces while Huw Thomas rounded off the scoring to complete Sonning’s fourth triumph of the league campaign.
South Berkshire 1s remain at the top of the table despite losing their 100% start to the season. They do however stay unbeaten after drawing 2-2 away at third place Oxford 2s with Sam Fox-Harvey and Ravi Patel getting on the scoresheet.
MBBO Division 1
Sonning 2s played out their first draw of the league campaign with a 4-4 stalemate against OMT 2s. Matt Poulton netted twice, with Joe Pook and Ian Ta completing the scoring to earn Sonning a point to stay in fifth position.
MBBO Division 2
South Berkshire 2s continue their reign as league leaders after two goals from Daniel Ray and one from Desmond Sanders helped them to a 3-0 victory to open their lead up to four points.
They remain as the only unbeaten side in the division having won five and drawn one of their six league fixtures this season.
MBBO Division 3
Duncan Clarke scored South Berkshire 3s only goal as they drew 1-1 at home to Newbury & Thatcham 3s, while Sonning 3s also drew 1-1 with a goal from Christopher Stone earning them an away point against Henley 3s.
South Berks are eighth in the table with just one win from five matches, while Sonning are in sixth with two wins.
South Clubs’ Women’s Hockey Division 3A
Sonning Ladies 1s climbed back up the table into third with a remarkable performance against Reading Ladies 3s seeing them run out as 8-1 victors. Sonning have enjoyed a solid start to the season with three wins, two draws and one loss from six matches.
Trysports Premier 1
South Berkshire Ladies 1s moved off the bottom of the table with their first win of the season. They defeated Henley Ladies 2s 3-0 to leapfrog their opponents in the table as they moved from twelfth to tenth.
