THIEVES have stolen a host of electronic learning aids, including more than 100 computers and 100 tablets, from Evendons Primary School.
The theft took place overnight between Sunday, July 16 and around 1am on Monday, July 17 at the school in Finchampstead Road, Wokingham.
Thames Valley Police is now appealing for witnesses of the theft to come forward.
Making a miserable end of term for the school, the thieves forced open padlocks on three gates leading to part of the school where building works are taking place.
They took a large number of power tools and electric cabling, worth a significant sum, from the building area.
From there they forced open the office door stealing an ACER E15 laptop, 100 Samsung Chromebooks, more than 100 Samsung tablets, three Samsung 19300 model phones, two digital microscopes and a Samsung smart TV 65 inch screen.
The school is Wokingham’s first STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) specialist school and this week learnt that it had been judged as outstanding in its debut Ofsted inspection.
Thames Valley Police Case Investigator, Claire Morgan, of the Investigation Hub, based at Loddon Valley, said: “We are appealing for witnesses who may have seen anyone acting in a suspicious manner around the primary school.
“If anyone has any further information that may assist, for example if anyone has seen these items being advertised online, to contact the Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.”
