THERE were two very special guests at the meeting of the Woodley Over-55s Club last Friday – they were alpacas.
The popular animals du jour paid a special visit to Coronation Hall, along with members of Pennybride Alpacas.
More than 60 people packed the hall so they could meet the furry friends and learn more about them.
The group meets every Friday from 1.45pm and has a regular visiting speaker.
The summer programme launches on May 3 with a visit from Mike Payne: he will talk about Westerns.
Helen Palmer from Compassion in World Farming will speak on May 10, and the group will then go on an outing to Milletts Farm the following week.
The group will also visit Stratford Upon Avon to enjoy a river cruise in June and Ham House in Richmond in July.
