Some of you may have seen the Cambridge News’ front page this week, where a production error meant that dummy text appeared as the main headline. Similar problems have plagued this week’s Wokingham Paper.
Eagle eyed readers will have spotted that page 30 is so good it appears twice. It wasn’t meant to be this way! We did indeed prepare Page 29 but it appears that the same gremlins that affected the Cambridge News came out and played with our pages.
We’re trying to find out how it happened, in order to ensure that it doesn’t happen again and we’re sorry for the inconvience this has caused you.
In the meantime, we will be putting online the stories from the pages and you can also download a PDF of Pages 29 by clicking here.
We’ve also got the wrong dates in for Churches in Wokingham’s Christmas services – again, we’ll add the correct details online.
There’s a few other niggles that have affected this week’s paper, some you’ll spot and some you won’t. We always aim for the highest possible standards and, at this time of year when we’re out and about covering your Christmas events, it’s inevitable that some things don’t go to plan.
The Wokingham Paper is an independent publication. No one owns us but you our readers and advertisers and we thank you for your support. With our small team, we work incredibly hard to bring you news from across the borough every week of the year.
We’re hugely proud of the paper – and website – that we are producing for you, and we hope that you are too. Even when the gremlins make an appearance.
Thanks for your understanding,
Phil Creighton
