A CHILDREN’S art contest has been launched with the top prize winner seeing their efforts used in Christmas gift cards.
The Lexicon, in neighbouring Bracknell, is inviting youngsters aged between three and 12 to take part in its annual competition.
The winning design will be printed on its limited-edition Christmas Gift Card Wallet, and they will also scoop a £50 gift card, which can be spent on The Lexicon’s shops.
Second prize is a £25 gift card.
And both winners will also receive a fabulous pack of Giotto art products worth £200 for their school and a Giotto set including coloured pencils and felt pens for themselves.
Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon, said: “We were delighted to receive hundreds of entries to the Christmas Gift Card Wallet Design Competition in 2018 and can’t wait to see this year’s entries.
“It’s a great opportunity for children of all ages to get into the festive spirit and for the winner to showcase their creative flair.”
Joining the judging panel is Taylor Gibbons, marketing executive from Daler Rowney.
She said: “We are so excited to be involved with this great art initiative and look forward to seeing the fantastic Christmas creations for 2019.”
The entry form and template can be found on The Lexicon’s website www.thelexiconbracknell.com/events/wallet-2019.
Wallet designs can be created using crayons, felt-tip pens, paints or even a computer.
The design must be the child’s own work and should be something that will appeal to all age groups. The closing date for entries is Sunday, November 10.
