On Monday, December 7, door number 7 of Wokingham’s Living Advent Calendar was opened at Wokingham Methodist Church.
The Rose Street venue hosted a performance by talented youngsters from St Crispin’s School’s Chamber Choir. It was introduced by Cllr Mark Ashwell on behalf of MoreArts.
It’s a busy week for the group: they will be performing in a school concert this Wednesday evening to celebrate Christmas.
The Choir and Chamber Orchestra will both help lead a very special midnight mass on Christmas Eve. They will be performing Charpentier’s Midnight Mass at Christ Church in Reading from 11.15pm, seeing in Christmas Day with the 17th century piece of music .
Their Living Advent Calendar appearance is just one of a number of special events taking place in Wokingham town centre every day between now and Christmas Eve. A live performance will be held somewhere in Wokingham at 6.15pm or 4pm at weekends.
On Tuesday, December 8, the venue will be H20 in Old Row Court, off Rose Street and the performance starts at 6.15pm. What will it be? We’ll tell you tomorrow!
