Having fun means that a Reading-based wholesale food distributor has been able to give a helping hand one to a Berkshire charity.
Bidfood, which has a warehouse in Whitley, Reading has made a donation of £1,363 to the Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
More than half the total was raised through its annual fun day held earlier this month.
Activities included activities for children and adults, a street food barbecue, face painting, a live band and depot tours for family and friends. There was also a raffle.
Organisers said that the day was raised £727.50, which was combined with the other funds the depot has raised. And the team also donated products to the ambulance service to fuel the crew whilst they save lives.
Eddie Edge, general manager of Bidfood Reading, said: “The day was a great success and it was fantastic to see so many people there enjoying themselves.
“We’ve chosen the Thames Valley Air Ambulance service for all the incredible work they do, consistently delivering critical medical care to save lives across Thames Valley.
“Following on from the success of this event, we are looking to host similar fundraising activities in the future to continue to raise money for this worthy charity and other great local causes.”
