A 30-year-old man from Lower Earley has been found guilty of sexual offences, including rape.
Following a week-long trial at Reading Crown Court Brian Russell, of Clevedon Drive was found guilty of two counts of rape, and one count of sexual activity with a child.
The jury found Russell unanimously guilty of one count of sexual activity with a child, unanimously guilty of one count of rape, and returned a majority verdict on the other count of rape.
Russell invited the victims, two girls, to his property where the offences took place between August 11 and 12 2014. He was arrested on October 2 2014 and charged on May 15 last year.
He has been remanded in custody until May 13 when he will be sentenced at the same court.

“This investigation and successful conviction serves as a reminder to victims that Thames Valley Police will deal with any such allegation sensitively, listen and help you, regardless of the circumstances or the time taken to report the offence.
